A Magician's Hike
A magician in the mountains fears no puzzling situation and attracts cute animals. This magician has mastered the art of throwing magic hats and you will also learn how powerful that technique can be. If you can reach the end of the trail, of course.
A note on accessibility and game-play preference
This game features real-time animations, which gives you a lot of freedom with how you move, including the ability to abuse the system. I'm fine with that: use these possibilities or not, both game-play styles match my vision of the game as the designer.
However, you might want to know that the game never REQUIRES you to react quickly to an event. You can always take all the time you want and be sure to hit that key whenever you want.
There is an option in the pause menu (opened with Escape) to actually force turn-based game-play, but it's experimental and sometimes it drops inputs.
How it was done
This game was made in slightly less than 48hrs for the Thinky Puzzles Game Jam 2, on the theme "A Magician's Hat". Made in Pattern:Script (using features in beta version).
In addition, around 24hrs of work were done after the game jam to create the current version (the submitted version is still on itch.io).

Impressive graphical work!
I could only barely pass the second screen, but I'm intrigued by the mechanics and the graphics! Real-time elements in a sokoban-game isn't something I often see explored, and it seems interesting in this game.
First off: this is one of the most gorgeous-looking puzzlescript games I've played and v fun so far!
More boringly: I'm not sure if it's a design choice, but when you press down here, it loads the previous screen. Even though you can't see your character, it turns out you can still move and throw your hat.. but it feels very wrong!
Ah, yes, I overlooked that! Thanks, I will fix it :-)
