This is the puzzle game I'm currently working on. Please do not share.

I have made 15 levels so far and some of them are pretty bad, but I think I can make many more (30-40 in total ?) interesting levels with the base mechanic. In addition, I have plans for twisted extensions of the swap mechanic, which could greatly increase the scope of the game. But I'm currently focusing on exploring the consequences of the base mechanic. Some of the extended mechanics could have huge implications on the art style and world/narrative structure, which is why no work has been done on these, yet.

How to Play

Your goal is to reach the blue square in each level. In the future this might be changed to reaching collectible or simply navigating an open world.

Key bindings

Move: WASD or arrow keys
Undo: U, Z, or backspace
Restart level: R (undo-able)
Pause: P
Prev/Next level: SHIFT+left/right arrow keys.

History of the project

This started as an idea for the Astra Found GameJam. I spent the first week of the jam working on another idea that was slightly over-scoped and I ran into a lot of technical issues, turning the jam into a development hell. I found the idea of this game as a backup solution for the second week but I was too exhausted to make it in time. Also, at that time my vision of the game did not match the type of games I wanted to make, so my motivation was low. I have since realized that there was many ways I could turn the original idea into the kind of games I wanted to do.
